Coach Jeremy grew up in northern California playing year round sports, including soccer, swimming, martial arts, track and field, and many others. When he moved to southern California in High School he narrowed his focus and lettered in wrestling. Around this time he also discovered parkour. Shortly after High School, he enlisted in the Marine Corps where he served 4 years. Along with being taught about general fitness and rucking, he also achieved a green belt in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP). It was during this enlistment when he found the sport of obstacle course racing after completing the nation’s first OCR, the Camp Pendleton Mud Run, and has been hooked ever since. Coach Jeremy began working at MROC in 2014, and after a 3 year stint in the Bay Area, is back!
“One of my favorite feelings in the world in helping someone accomplish something they didn’t think they could. Whether it is coaching someone over a 6 ft. wall, teaching technique on the salmon ladder, or giving motivation while someone breaks a workout PR, it brings me joy. The word “can’t” does not exist around me.”
