Nothing will be more fun or get you more prepared for an obstacle course than Group Training a few times per week or working privately with one of our Obstacle Specialists. But for those of you just visiting or not ready to fully commit there are still a variety of weekend options to help you prepare for an upcoming Spartan or Tough Mudder...
Obstacle Course Race Simulation
These full body workouts happen every Saturday morning and incorporate running, carrying, climbing, jumping, and crawling up, through, and over obstacles. You will be scaling monkey bars, swinging from ropes, climbing over walls, and flipping tires while chasing each other in, out, and around the gym.
Open Gym
We also have Open Gym on most Saturdays from 12-2 pm. This differs from the OCR Simulation Class because there will not be a pre-built course and no coaches will be present to assist you. However, you will still have access to all of the obstacles and the freedom to create a workout or build a course of your choosing.
Workshops & Skill Clinics
With over 30 years of combined experience and trainers who have been obstacle course racing competitively since 2011, MROC Training in Oceanside has the most dedicated and accomplished coaches in North County. We have developed the most effective and efficient ways to conquer any obstacle, and frequently host workshops and skills clinics to teach you the essentials. Visit our EVENTS page for upcoming dates, or call (760) 565-2561 to schedule a private lesson!
Boring routines at big box gyms led to John Tatlock yearning for something more. One of John's friend mentioned Spartan
Meet Isabella, the trail running Deload Queen that didn’t let a broken back get into the way of finding something new to conquer like Trail Running. That’s right, just about every weekend you can find this “OG MROC’er” out on the trails.
